briggs stratton 217807 ENGINE REPLACEMENT QUESTIONS
I'm replacing the engine on a blown DR Mower. The new engine that I'm using is a Briggs Stratton 217807 11.5 HP. It's a real close match, so far it's going pretty well. I have a question though... there's a fuel line with a fuel filter on it. But between the carb & the air filter there's...- duckkilla

FORD 861 - Trouble running Keeps dying.
Ok. So here's an update. Any more advice from you all is MUCH appreciated. Before using the tractor I checked the sediment bowl. Looked pretty clean (considering it's probably been a LONG time since it's been touched). There was a very small amount of stuff in it, but not much. Cleaned it out... -

Problem diagnosis...??
I've got an 861. I've noticed that after extended periods of use... (couple hours maybe?) that when I shut the engine down, it wants to keep firing... kind of half chugging, even though the key is off. It'll do that until sort of let up on the clutch a bit to give it some resistance. Any... -

And to "adjust freeplay" I'm assuming that would be the bolt that's threaded around the rod that hooks up to the clevis? So if I wanted to see if it could be adjusted I should make sure the clutch pedal is in the highest position, and then start raising it up more by adjusting that nut until I...
