    Chief 4 position valve

This valve has a 10gpm flow. Does this mean I may not be able to adjust it or if possible a different pressure relief?

    Chief 4 position valve

That is the internal pump at 4.8 gpm correct? The loader has a crank driven pump on the front of the tractor

    Chief 4 position valve

Hi everyone. I installed a tractor supply Chief four position valve on my Superior Loader. The Gresen valve I had was 3 position so I didn't have power down on my lift cylinders. The pump is crank mounted and the oil reservoir is in the loader frame. My question that I have is there...

    Ford 860 Hydraulics

Got the new valve installed today and it works great! Only question I have is that if you don't pull the levers fully forward or back, the tractor wants to stall. I was only partially pulling them to do a slower movement. Almost like it was building pressure. Fully pulling them works...

    Ford 860 Hydraulics

Got the new valve setup installed today and it works great! Only question I have is that you have to pull the valve handles back or forward all the way. If you only pull them a little, to go slower, it makes the tractor want to stall. Almost like it needs the fluid to fully flow or it...

    Ford 860 Hydraulics

Thanks for the information. I'll attach two pictures but I believe I found the answer. Looks like closed or power beyond you have to buy accessories. Yes I bought adapters to connect my hoses as well

Yes the oil reservoir is in the loader frame. So seperate from the tractor. So it should be an open system? I believe this new valve is an open center. Thanks

    Ford 860 Hydraulics

Hi everyone! I have a 1957 Ford 860 with a Superior Loader. It has a crank driven hydraulic pump for the loader. I posted on here last week about the valve controls and recieved some good information. I bought a 4 way 3 postion valve from Tractor Supply and I am wondering about closed/open...

    Superior Loader question

That's true. I assumed the that because there was a port for a hose on the body that the spool was double acting, and I was wrong. Probably the same for the passages on the body. Maybe the body is machined with the passages? I thought the 2702 body could have two double acting spools, but...

    Superior Loader question

Thanks for the responses! I appreciate it. It is a crankshaft driven pump. I'm going to pull both spools out and have the single spool put on a lathe to match the double acting spool. Worth a try. Maybe the tractor supply valve will be a back up plan. It's the only thing local in my area...

    Superior Loader question

Hi everyone! I have a question about a Gresen 2702 valve on my 57' Ford 860. It has a 2 way spool on the bucket lever and a one way on the lift. I changed my lift cylinders to 2way cylinders because I thought the spool for my lift was capable of 2 way on the valve (had a plug on the valve...
