    Lenth of a 8N Radial Arm

    I thought and was told that all radial arms on 8n tractors were the same length. I found a pair of arms on Ebay to replace the ones on my 48 since both have been welded. The replacement arms are 39.5 inches long and my old ones are 37.5 inches long. Can I make the replacement ones work. Also...

    On my 48 8N that I am restoring, the lift arms have been badly welded and I want replace the them, I found a pair on Ebay that was taken off a 1950 8N. Before I buy them I want to make sure they will fit. My question, will they fit. Thanks

    More Questions on My 48 8N

    Another thing, I haven't driven the tractor yet. Could the clutch be stuck. I want to drive it but need to replace a rear tire before I can. Does the clutch disengage the PTO. These may stupid questions but I am learning from you guys. Thanks

    Last night I posted that I got the tractor running but had no lift. Everybody said to make sure that I engaged the PTO. Tonight I engaged the PTO and it turned very slowly and then stopped. I have tried it several times and nothing happened. No lift, no PTO. This tractor has a Sherman on it...

    OIL IN THE MANIFOLD

    STARTED MY TRACTOR TODAY THAT I AM IN THE PROCESS OF RESTORING, IT HAS NOT BEEN STARTED IN 7 YEARS.     WHEN I FIRST GOT THE TRACTOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, I PUT ATF IN EACH CYLINDER AND OIL IN EACH CYLINDER TO MAKE SURE IT WAS LUBICATED BEFORE I TURNED THE ENGINE OVER.

    SOLENOID PROBLEM I THINK

    TRIED TO START THE 48 8N TODAY AND WHEN I PUSHED THE STARTER BUTTON, SPARKS FLEW FROM THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THE SOLENOID SWITCH. I ASSUME THE SOLENOID IS BAD SINCE IT IS GROUNDING OUT. ANY THOUGHTS?
