    I bought a "500S" Ferris last year, a great ZT mower, No troubles at all. Highly recommend. It is up from an entry level mower, bigger tires, heavier deck, commercial engine, and heavier hydros to say the least. DWF

    Does anybody still use vertical silo's anymore

    I am in NW Wisconsin. A couple of years ago I went by a farm not far from me and they had a tractor hooked up to a blower or whatever they use for filling a silo. The silo was the concrete type and they were filling with corn sillage. Not Mennonites or Amish either. DWF

    Any idea how many tractors (total, not just AC) were there? I don't live close but have been there several times several years ago. My Uncle who lived in that area was heavily involved in that club, but has been passed away quite a few years. DWF

    Where I went to school the school district had a 3414 loader {no backhoe} they used it mostly for snow removal and other chores. Seemed to be working well, but that was years ago. DWF

    CB Radio

    I bought a new Western Star Dump Truck a few years ago that came with a Cobra CB. Use it when I am in the gravel pit to tell them what I need and what volume I need. One of the pits has a scale, but no one in it. If the loader operator is busy we use the CB to tell him our weight. DWF
