1 inch fitting on pump leaking ford 2000 3 cyl

Our 2000 is doing the same thing. I talked to an old Ford mechanic and he said Ford had a fix for that. Instead of using a new "crunch" nut they cut a little off of the line and flared it. Then they used a different fitting in the pump and a different nut on the line. He said this was right from...

Oliver Super 88 engine ser# location

#2 injector line. My book shows 3 different part #'s. Early eng ser# used 1KS1703A. Middle range used# 1KS1703B. Latest one was #101022AS. Of course my book is for 88 & Super 88 and Oliver is not nice enough to let me know when the switch was. Do these all sub up or are they different?

    Roosamaster pumps myth or fact

Back in the day I went to a local tech college for diesel mechanics. We had a special clean room for working on injection pumps. It had its own air filtering system and all the special tool and testers etc. We were all warned escpecially about Roosamaster pumps how critical cleanliness was. All...

I am wanting to put a rear axle seal in a 3000 that has the axle bearings retained by the big self locking nut. My I-T manual says Nuday made a tool to remove and replace this nut. 90 series updates

The problem will be you can't tell by looking if it's been done or not. Unless you have some paper work from previous owner or dealer don't bet on it being done.

    power steering 202

Are you talking about the lines going to the cylinder? They are pressure hoses. Too much pressure for a hose clamp type splice. They are a tight bend where they attach to cylinder. I doubt if a hose shop could duplicate exactly. We bought new ones from Agco a couple of years ago. They were...
