Oliver Super 88 engine ser# location

I have a Super 88 diesel I need to find the engine serial# for some injection parts. Where is this number located? The book shows a 7 digit number. Is that correct? Thanks

Well that is an interesting post. The only difference that I can think of for fuel injection parts are some engines still had American Bosch fuel injection nozzles while later ones used a CAV injector. Any parts that are threaded will not interchange, however the tips will. Engine serial number is on right rear flange. What diesel parts are you needing this information for?

#2 injector line. My book shows 3 different part #'s. Early eng ser# used 1KS1703A. Middle range used# 1KS1703B. Latest one was #101022AS. Of course my book is for 88 & Super 88 and Oliver is not nice enough to let me know when the switch was. Do these all sub up or are they different?

O. K. Real sinmple: First one is the flat line. Then they went to the vertical stack lines in about 1952. The third one is a vertical stack line for a diesel with key start. Super 88 diesels went to key start in April of 1957. Unless you have key start you need the middle one which is the most common.

Thank you. Yes this one has key start & vertical stacked lines so I will go with the late one. Still can't find a ser# on the engine block anywhere.
