My 8n will only run on starting fluid
Check your distributor where the hot wire attaches. Pop the cap off and see if u have power to the points. On the older distributors there is an insulated adapter that slips into the metal lip. If that has cracked it will short out all your spark. Look very close at it or pop it out to see if it...- easymike

Oliver 440. I have one just like it. Looks to be a very complete unit!! Front and rear wheel weights and some of the cultivator linkage is there and the rear belt pulley. Nice tractor!! Do you own it? Mine came with front and rear cultivators and a 60” mower.. Great restoration tractor.- easymike

White 2-50 Transmission Problems
New Parts are readily available for it. Usually the transmission pops out of 3rd and 4th gear as these two are the synchromesh gears. The gears,shifting collar and 3 sets of clips are wore out. The tranny has to be pulled out and disassembled.It is very straightforward work. Would definitely... -
