    Replying to my own comment, no, it wasn't normal. I had a short somewhere in the ammeter wiring. I think I cranked down too hard on the nuts causing a short. I really feel like I should be adding a fuse someplace in the mix, just for a little added insurance. Thoughts?

    Sorry for a newbie question but I just want to make sure I'm on the right page here. Before winter sets up I'd like to change the coolant in my '41 A. The attached picture is the coolant drain plug, yes? And it seems like any color antifreeze will work, is this true? Thanks! [/img]
