    My son and i are in Sweden visiting family. My cousin said his tractor quit. It just shut down and won"t start. My son knows some about diesels and took out the injectors and cleaned them Then he cleaned all the parts up to the fuel tank. Still won"t start. Can anyone help?

    A press fit crank pulley...aint

    The crank pulley on my 1939 A has a bolt in it to tighten it up. Maybe it was an afterthought although mine is one of the first thousand. I have no idea if it's the original pulley.

    Farmall A stalling at high RPMs.

    I had a problem with my A stalling at higher speeds. I found that that it was sediment getting into the fuel lines at at higher speeds. Make sure your filter is clean and that no sediment is getting in to the lines.

    Price Range for an A

    I paid $1200 for my 39 A. It runs like a clock and starts on two pulls of the crank. I did a lot of cosmetics and put new tires and rims on it. I'm happy.

    I can send you a diagram from my Farmall "A" manual that shows how to set the different rear wheel widths. I'll email it to you, but I have to get the book out of my storage first. Sometime in the next 24 hours.

    Straight weight or multi viscosity

    Go with the 85/140/ Less leaks and better lubrication. You might think about mixing some Lucas Transmission Fix in with it. Quiets those shifts down 100%.
