Well then it could be the correct engine because this is 1950 model C Demonstrator. maybe it came with that? What would you recommend me doing to this tractor? I am waiting for the rules from several county fairs that hold the pulls near me. not sure why I have not heard back yet but in any...

I will thanks for the advice. I am still in the gathering information mod. I want to get all the rules and regulations before I start my build. Also trying to find all the places around me I can pull a 3000# class. Do you think the C would pull a 4000# class at all? thanks this is a ton of fun.

    Pulling tractor

I would like to say thanks you have all given me a lot to think about. I am going with a red tractor for this build because "IT IS RED" and I have 4 of them. Now I just need to find the right mix of pistons sleeves and maybe a camshaft? To point me in the right direction. thanks

So what is a good set up to make the power in the red tractors? I want to still run pump gas and am thinking of just doing a three face valve job and a piston/ sleeve kit. any idea on which ones? or a compression ratio to have in mind? thanks

    Green or Red

Ok so I have decided that I will use the C or the super C. the only issue I am having now is my C already has a combine engine in it. 354898 C-123 L 2. and my Super C has the regular engine in it. So I am still trying to find out if the C with the bigger engine will disqualify me from pulling...

    Pulling tractor

If I were to use the JD A would I need a special clutch? and would it be fine to just shave the head0.001 off. with a budget in mind what would be a cheek list of things to do to it? thanks

    Building an A puller

I am not sure about the complete rules but I am mostly interested in a farm stock type pull. Or even a classic tractor pull.So you think I should get a copy of the rule book before starting a build and choose the best tractor that will compliment the rules?

Would it make any difference in weight class?

    Pulling tractor

ok so just for fun I am thinking about starting to build a pulling tractor. I have three different tractors that I could use a Farmall Super C or a C demonstrator or a John Deere slant dash A. All the tractors run good and the JD A has new rubber. I do not know much of anything about puling...

    Building an A puller

I have a slant dash JD A I am thinking about making into a puller. Any and all thoughts would be great. One question is would a JD A be better than a Farmall Super C for pulling?

    10-20 value

I picked up a 1924 10-20 for $500 that was stuck and in rough shape. I since then rebuilt the head all new valves and just un-stuck it rather than a re build and I have a lot of money in her. So If she is cheap buy her up it looks to be in ok shape.

    Demonstrator

Yes I agree it is costly to restore tractors but it is worth it. Since this tractor is my 4 year old sons we will make it a father son project. That makes it priceless. Only thing is I have a second son and need to find a white cub.

    New Demonstrator

I like that sign you have. Are they hard to find? I would love to find one or get new ones printed. Do you have the sign that fits in the wheel?
