    I think a 1971 model would have a Hinson cab. Stolper's were used on 1969 & 70 models only.

    6030 Fenders

    When I put ROPS on a JD 4520, I made some brackets and bolted the fenders to the ROPS posts. Not original but it looked pretty good.

    When replacing this guide, any tricks to getting the black plastic knob off of the hyd levers? Do they just tap off? If so, will they still hold when one taps them back on? Thanks.

    Trailer with 8 bolt and 8 bolt circle hubs and wheels

    I am working on a tandem axle deck over trailer with 16.5" wheels, 8 bolt and 8" bolt circle. I need some brake parts for the hubs. Anyone know what brand this size hub may be and where to source the parts? It is a homemade trailer. Could this be a trailer house size hub?

    Paint spray cans quit when still half full--what to do?

    What do you guys do when paint spray cans quit spraying when still half full? The nozzle is not plugged since I can switch to a new one and still nothing out of the can. Really frustrating and seems to happen more now days than years ago.

    430 Garden Tractor info

    The 2 speed lever on my JD430 has always gone hard. I find it helps to rock the tractor front or backwards just a little to move it.

    50 series open station tractors

    No idea how many were made. I have seen some 4050's but never a 42 or 4450 open station (without the 4 post canopy). Also, I was once told true open stations were only available in 1983-84. Can anyone confirm this?

    7400 hydraulics won't hold

    Sorry to see you didn't get a reply on your question. My #1 SCV on my JD 7400 allows the load to settle also. For now, #2 and #3 hold the load. If you ever find out how to solve the problem, please post the fix. Good luck.

    Did early JD 4050's have a fan guard

    I recently purchased a 1983 JD 4050 with 466 engine. The fan is really exposed and does not have any guards on either side of the engine. Anyone know if they came from the factory without guards? I looked at JD parts and they don't show a guard except for later models with the 359 engine...

    JD 4050 Gauges Not Working

    The ground terminal "G" of the plug-in has good continuity to the ground of the tractor. Am I missing something?
