JD 4020 Side Console Hyd Lever Guide

When replacing this guide, any tricks to getting the black plastic knob off of the hyd levers? Do they just tap off? If so, will
they still hold when one taps them back on? Thanks.

Warm the plastic knobs up a bit (carefully) with a heat gun before removing or putting them back on.

Get a claw hammer and yank on it a couple times. They will go back on no problem. If you get tired of the little round knobs, you can always do what I do.
