    4020 differential shaft dummy shaft tool

    Buddy is trying to put his bottom drive shaft back in his tractor he had a shift collar go bad on his 4020 gas , manual states that you need to use some sort of dummy shaft and brace to help align the bottom shaft I guess, are these two tools available for sale or obsolete or what do they do?

    Ford 8n Possible distributor issue

    I thought I posted my topic on 8n forum, but I could not find it. Anyway I ran my 49 ford 8n today about 2 hours scraping snow. Right towards the end it started like it was starving for gas. It had gas in in. and carb was cleaned this summer. I am thinking my coil has something to do with it...

    4020 18.4-34 to 14.9-42 tires whats needed

    I'm wanting to put 14.9/42 on a 1970 4020. Does anybody know of rims from 34" cast to 42" rims? Or do I need 38" cast?

    Think our hay might have gotten torched again

    We had a nice amount of rain in the spring after planting and the hay seed germinated nicely. We had almost no rain all July and a lot of it wilted and shrivelled up under the standing barley. Our seed salesman said to be hopeful as long as it started nicely in the spring even though it looked...

    tuned my 2n up the other day my tan rotor button also was broke got new one from tractor shop it was black in color no problem with it make sure seated all the way down

    so if it's not right put it against engine and bolt won't screw in then turn 180 degrees is that right ? thank's for help

    thanks for help that's what I thought made a mistake though took distributor out did not pay attention where rotor button was so I guess you line the slot up on back but I guess it could go two ways turned it to open points when I had it out any help would be nice thanks

    ford 2n pos. ground 6-volt can't get fire to plugs tractor been sitting for about 2 or 3 years check coil with meter got full reading when switch on new rotor button and plugs/ points and condenser new when parked tried wire from hot post on battery straight to coil no luck thinking points...
