    hough mini payloader

I'm looking at a couple of what I think are Hough 25 mini payloaders. Anyone have some experience using these? Do they have some utility moving snow/hay/manure? Do they get stuck very easily? Do they usually have a common IH engine? I looked at them quickly in a snowstorm but will have to...

    cutditioner

Thanks for all the knowledgeable responses. I should have been more clear-- it's a NI 272 cutditioner-- flail mower-- I have a gas Oliver 770 that I will probably mostly be using-- about 52hp. I also have a farmall M and a cobbled together Oliver 77 with a Ford falcon engine that maybe could...

    cutditioner

I'm surprised you can run it with an H. I thought it took more HP than that. I have a narrow H that I like to mow with-- I guess that gives me some options. How thick/tall is the stuff you are mowing with the 290? Isn't that nine feet?

    cutditioner

Those of you folks who run or who have run a NI cutditioner-- what gear can I expect to cut with in general? I will be running a NI 272 with an Oliver 770. Maybe 2nd or maybe 3rd low... or slower? I understand that it probably depends on conditions but how fast are you able to go in average...

    splitting MH 30

It stops usually after a few seconds. Doesn't make the noise in reverse.

    splitting MH 30

I've been running my recently acquired MH 30. It started to have a knock in the transmission... with advice from here I figured it was a missing tooth... now it is making more noise-- sounds like a coffee grinder-- coming from left side of transmission hosing. It could be brakes, I guess, but...

    OT: scout

I wasn't able to register on the classic truck forum so figured I would try this question here. I have a 73 Scout 2. It had been sitting for a while when I bought it a few years ago. I redid the carb to get it running. It ran but flooded. A more knowledgeable mechanic adjusted it properly...

    mf 300

I'm working on brakes on a MF 300-- the cylinders were a little low-- actually one was low and one was dry. I filled and bled the brakes-- still not working. Probably a dumb question but what is the next likely culprit? Thanks

    bearcat 72

Actually-- the problem is longer grass gets wrapped around the auger-- not sure if the augur is just too worn or if this is a problem with the flails being too dull... any suggestions?

    bearcat 72

Looking for flails for my Bearcat 72 flail chopper. Anyone know of a source-- would certainly consider halfway decent used ones. Thanks

    mh30

I did the points and plugs on the MH30 and got it to run. Not bad for having sat for fifteen years. The engine sounds good-- it runs well and has plenty of power. It seems to be running hot but I may have it adjusted a little lean. It's a nice little tractor. It does seem to have a...

    mh30 hydraulics

Another question on my newly acquired MH30... how hard would it be to add hydraulics to this? It has the power lift but hydraulics would be more practical. It had a plow set up on the front-- previous owner said he used a power steering unit to run the cylinder on that-- I have power...

    mh30

According to the serial, it's a 48. The front end looks weird to me, but this is my first MH. The rims at least are not original. I've changed the oil and gotten some water out of the rear end. I wonder-- is it difficult to find the arm for the power lift? Not a necessary item but might be...

    mh30

I brought this MH30 home. It turns over but I haven't done much to try to get it running yet. I'm assuming that's a Marvel carb... Is that correct? What is the purpose of the levers on the right side of the housing just below the seat? Thanks

    77 with ford engine

I'll get a picture posted when I get it home-- (it is a little rough-- a project-- )just guessing that it is a 240. What is better about a 300?
