    Price of an International 254

Any one out there able to give me a price range of what an International 254 would sell for? It comes with a 5 ft brush hog, rear scraper blade and all the manuals. It has 1688 hours on it and the tires are decent. Thanks for the help.

    1936 John deere Model B

You are aware there's a cork or rubber seal ring inside it, right? Yes I am and this is what is preventing the slinger from going in further on the crankshaft. There is a corresponding spline high spot on the cork gasket, the groves on the crankshaft only go so far, once they end this is where...

    1936 John deere Model B

bob, you hit the nail on the head, the slinger is stuck. I will try to remove it in the morning as opposed to beating on it to move it in. I would think it should slide freely in and out so .005 can be achieved.

    1936 John deere Model B

Frank, I have looked in the archives but have only found posts regarding the styled B's but I will check again. I think Bob may have the answer though. I will remove the slinger cover since that makes a whole lot of sense to be the root of the problem, the slinger is stuck on the crank shaft...

    1936 John deere Model B

How does one adjust the crank shaft end play on an unstyled Model B serial 21774. Sliding the flywheel in and out has no effect, like on the newer serial numbered B's, reason being the flywheel is limited by the oil slinger which is fixed on the crank shaft. I currently have .050 and when I move...

JD model B flywheel shaft end play

I will check with my friend, the one that owns this B to see if he has this service manual,http://www.external_link.com/p-104-john-deere-b-service-manual-sm2004.aspx . I don't believe he does. We have tried loosening the flywheel then while putting pressure on the PTO end of the shaft and the...

JD model B flywheel shaft end play

It is a 1936, serial #21774. The flywheel is by your left foot, and the PTO pulley is by your right foot. I am doing this research for a friend. The flywheel was loosened and shoved in towards the tractor while pressure was applied on the opposite end, the PTO/clutch side of the shaft. It was...

JD model B flywheel shaft end play

I have a JD model B that has too much end play on the flywheel/pto shaft. The flywheel is snugged up tight to the oil slinger, can the remainder of the end play be adjusted on the PTO side?

    International 254 help

I have been helping out a neighbor, who inherited an International 254, do some much needed maintenance on his tractor. He was wondering if front wheel weights were ever an option and if it was where he could get a pair. Also is there a preferred website to get parts from for his 254, muffler...
