    Need help identifying parts out of a '43 S

    Bought a 1943 S at auction. I drained the engine and rear end and found this piece at the bottom of one of the oil pans. The oil pans got set aside for awhile so I don't know if this piece came from the engine or the rear end. Can anyone tell me what this is and where it came from?

    DC Platform steps

    DI Throttle linkage

    I appreciate the input. I have a parts book which does help with "what attaches to what", but I"m more looking for where the rods bend and where they mount (which holes they go through) which is why any closeup pictures would be helpful.
