    I just put in a new distributor for my 8n and made sure it was all times up n when I hit the starter switch it started to backfire. Any suggestions? Thanks Gator

    Ok,does the rotor button pointing at the front right of the head and the timing marks on the flywheel have to be aligned together

    I pulled the old distributer out and put the new one in,it meshed up good. Yes I set the gap at.025 on the new points.

    I just bought a new distributor for my side mount 8n, installed it and now when I try to criank her up I'm not getting any fire to the plugs. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks Gator
