    PTO driven generators

Thanks for all the replies, figured I could count on some good info here. I'll try moving the spring in the AM. I think the pto unit would be good here and I have an all electric house in NC, so it could move with us. Thanks again Geoff

    PTO driven generators

Been running on generator since 2pm yesterday. Generator surges a lot (5500 watt Robin). Thought about when things settle down looking into a pto genny, any pro or cons with you guys. I'd bet some of you farmers have them? Be running it off of an MF 20d (3 cyl Perkins diesel. Thinking it would...

    fuel pump

I have a ford 515 (same as a 4600) that starts really hard. A frind has ford and suggested that the fuel injector pump could be the culprit. How tough is it to rebuild? It has a leak around one of the caps on the plungers, does anyone get them rebuilt or do you do the rebuild?

    Re: Farmerized 1939 F-20

In the 1950's our neighbor had an F 20 with a chevy six used as the sprayer tractor. He also put a chevy six in an F 12 and put a schoolbus seat on it so my friend Glenn and I could cruise up to the beach and do some light farmwork. Thanks for the fond memories.

    Ford 515

Really hard starting (diesel) when cranking smokes alot from exhaust. Runs good when finally started (smoke at idle). Also losing powersteering -leaks at cylinder, anyone have part # for seals? Don't really want to spend +$100 for a parts book for some seals. Thanks Geoff

    National Electrical Code

Seen a bunch of questions and answers on the board about electrical installations. I've been an electricion for 40+ years and think it's like asking a bartender for leagal advice. I agree the NEC says in no uncertain terms that the final dicission is up to the local authority, and have seen some...

Sad to hear that, started listening to him in the early 60's in high school. Sure didn't grow up with todays "music".

    284 paint colors

Anybody know th right colors for an IH 284? It's the cute little jap tractor 1980 vintage. while removing the old paint from the side panels we found a cream color about like the plow tail wheels. Also I'm wondering if 2150 is about right for the red? Thanks Geoff
