    Farmall 460/ White smoke

    My Farmall 460 start quite well when cold but when warmed up it starts hard and blows white smotk out the stack for about 5 minutes than clears up. Anyone know what this might be caused by? Also, is a 460 a gas hog? I am cutting my CRP grass with a small brush hog and am burning about 5...

    Does anyone know where I could find a bearing for a very old JD disk? The bearing is a square bore 1 1/8 in. and the total diamter of 3 1/8 in?

    I put a liner in the gas tank, a kit in the carb, and inline fuel filter and the 460 runs great at full throtle and has full power. It does nto seem to run as smooth at idle or slow speeds, it seems to miss. I hooked to disc and it did a great job. Thanks your hour help.

    I THINK MY PROBLEM IS THE FUEL TANK. RUSTY!!!!! I TOOK OUT THE SEDIMENT BLUB AND IT WAT NEARLY PLUGGED WITH GUNT AND RUST. I REMOVED THE TANK BUT NOW WHAT TO DO? DOES "LINING" A TANK REALLY WORK OR IS A NEW TANK IN ORDER. ARE THERE AFTERMARKET TANKS OUT THERE? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

    I have Framall 460 gas and trying to do some discing this spring. I drop the disc in and the 460 bogs down and will hardly run, just about cannot pull itself. Thought it might be the carb so I put in a rebuild kit and that did no good, Still bogs down and runs very rough under load. Any one...

    Filter is new as is all the oil. I put a seal kit including new diaphrams and gaskets in the pump. The pump does not make any noise. When I try to pick up the disk, it moves a little and then just can't lift any more. I use the same cyclinder on the planter and it does lit that. Do I just need...

    I can pull it OK cuz my soil is kind of light but I can not lift it with my 460? Do you think I have a hydraulic problem? I know the disk is pretty heavy but thought I should be able to lift it.

    How big of hydraulic cyclinder should I use on 4 row IH456 corn planter using a Farmall 460 to pull it? Sane question, but using a 12 foot tandem JD disk? Thanks.
