ford 5000 clutch issue and PTO question
my 1972 ford 5000 started to have random clutch problems as of lately when going back and forth on the yard to work up the gravel it often doesn't want to stop the tractor when i press the clutch, after pressing the brakes pretty good I can get it to stop and shove it out of gear. it's strange... -

thanks! , I had a look at the link you posted, I think I might be better off to just order a new tank sensor, as I don't think it's worth several hours of my time to try fix a $120 sensor;) -

Fuel sending unit on my ford 5200 seems to act weird I didn't read anything on the gauge, but when I ground out the wire it reads full I took the sebding unit out of the tank, and when i move it to full it reads full, when i slowly drop the float, the gauge also slowly moves, till just under... -

3pt arm height adjustment
I had played with that already, but now i tried it again and it feels like it must've been half stuck, because now i can move it much further and my height control works properly now😁 Thanks -

On my 72' ford 5200 the control lever for the 3pt arms is working really odd The lever can move roughly 9" , however it only seems to work at the top 2", so it is very "touchy" making it very hard to control the height of any implement When i set the stop screw to a certain position, then once... -

Hi, sorry to keep bugging everyone, but my cooling fan keeps hitting the radiator shroud, now I just discovered that the fan+pulley have a lot of sideways play, is that just a matter of new bearings in the pulley? or would it be more likely that the whole waterpump is done for? before I tear... -

I just did an oil change on my ford 5000, The MandW sticker states to prefill the turbo filter So i tried that, but it wouldn't fill up,,seems like there's a valve inside or something... i did prefill the engine oil filter. And put a total of 8qt of oil in Now the dipsticks shows approx an... -

Ford 5000 toplink size
Interesting, back home on the farm we never used anything but hydraulic toplinks The custom guys(with much bigger tractors) also used them, seems to me extremely inconvenient to use a manual toplink, but i guess one might get used to it -

I was actually thinking to get a hydraulic toplink right away 28" roughly, anyone else tried this on a 5000 before? Its roughly $100 for a standard and $400 for hydraulic But i haven't noticed that i can get one with different ends, wouldn't it work to use a cat 2 and put a bushing in for cat... -

My ford 5000 came without a toplink Well sort of... at the auction where i got the tractor there was a Ford toplink at another lot, i was of the assumption that this belonged to it, so i brought that too. However...the Ford toplink has 5/8" hole on the swiveling end And 3/4" on the other end... -

Mine has the original generator as far as i know. i ordered an aftermarket dash, should be here tomorrow, i hope it's better quality than what you're describing😱 $320 CAD is about enough money for that -
