    To 20 hydraulics not working

There are at least two ways I know of to override the draft control on these tractors. If either/both work, I think it pretty well isolates your problem and allows you to focus attention directly on where it's needed. No sense bouncing around through the whole system looking for a cure, as I'm...

    After market radiators

I bought one for my Ferguson off eBay and got it installed yesterday morning. Works great, holds pressure, and keeps things cool. No idea as to country of origin but it was relatively cheap and looked like a near duplicate of the original. Came with new hardware that matched the original in...

TO20 Ferguson TO-561 Rocker Pin Assembly?

I think the non-shouldered rocker pin is used in the TO30 and subsequent models, with only the T20 series using the shouldered pin. This hasn't been confirmed using the various parts books, but rather an observation noted while looking for a replacement. I found a new one in England that's being...

    To 20 hydraulics not working

I've been fighting what sounds like the exact same symptoms for almost six months. I'll suggest something is out of sorts with the draft control spring assembly, based on your remark about the lift arms functioning as they should but everything going to pot as soon as the top link loads up...

TO20 Ferguson TO-561 Rocker Pin Assembly?

Mine is broken off on the right-hand side, which seems to be a somewhat common problem based on what little reference to this pin I've found online. The good news is that I've managed to get mine cleaned of rust and brush paint and removed from the tractor without damaging anything! Does...

    DIY my own non-ROPS

Interesting sets of plans found in this thread: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=954857 for the Ford 8N, 3000, 4000, and MF135 . These were engineered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and are in the public domain, free to view and download. You...

TO20 Rusted Frozen Draft Control Spring

One question I forgot to ask: Reference number 8 (p/n 180 895 M1) on the draft control spring assembly is referred to in the parts manual as a "Cushion (17/32 x 1-9/16 x 1/4"). I've been unable to find this part for sale or any information about it. Mine was missing so I'm hoping someone can...

TO20 Rusted Frozen Draft Control Spring

I thought my hydraulic woes were behind me (see original thread here: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1380265 for details), but no. While I could lift some implements, the system clearly needed some adjustment to operate properly. I discovered yesterday that my draft...

    TO20 Steering Suddenly Locked Up

Hey Bruce, are you referring to part #8 as the upper bearing cover? I can see a grease fitting being useful up there to keep the #6 bearings lubed without having to disassemble the top end to get to them. I'm going to pass on the grease packing method for the moment, since a rebuild is on tap...

    Front End Loader ID?

I finally decided on this being a Dearborn Model 19-61. Don t know much of anything about that particular model but I think it would ve looked pretty good refurbished.

    A new To30 issue...

In a case like yours where "everything was fine until I installed..." it's usually safe to assume right there is where your problem originated. I wouldn't be one bit surprised to buy a brand new voltage regulator and find it to be bad right out of the box. I'd check the connections to make sure...

    Lift Arms Up and Locked

I don't know if it can, but you could pull an inspection cover to reach up there and see if the hydraulic piston connecting rod dropped down and got in a bind when your lift arms went all the way up. Easier than pulling the top cover, I'd think.

Worked on it VS Used your Fergie?

Gotta say I'm still waiting for the "corner" to come into view with my '51, but it's gradually getting less and less wrong with it. All the engine seems to need now is for one piston to make top dead center under compression and it's off and running. I do love that about it, but there's plenty...

    Front End Loader ID?

Can anyone identify this old FEL? Seems like I should know it but I'm drawing a blank. Owner says it was fitted to a Ferguson TO20 he bought several years ago.

    TO20 Steering Suddenly Locked Up

Thanks for even more good info, guys! I don't have a schedule yet for tearing down the steering assembly but don't plan to wait around very long. Maybe mid-summer when things around here calm down a bit. Spring is probably our busiest season, although fall runs a close second. It's been cold...
