    6600 dual power correct clutch?

I will try pulling the starter to see if I can tell. From what I can find, it should be 10 spline, 1 3/4" hub. I just don't know if 12" or 13". Does it matter if I get a rigid disc or one with damper springs? If it doesn't matter, which is better?

    6600 dual power correct clutch?

The 6600 needs a new clutch. Serial number is 6F21B C509584* with dual power. Is it possible to determine the correct clutch kit and have parts on hand before I tear into it, or will I have to just take it apart and see?

Ford 1710 fuses not connecting, lights and gauges dropping

Are you sure it is the fuse connections? It could possibly be the wire connections and when you remove/replace fuses it wiggles them just enough to make contact for a while. Try removing the wires and cleaning the blades. If any feel a little loose, tighten the female connector slightly.

    6600 load monitor thrust block

Yes, about the only time I would need it is pulling a breaking plow, and I haven't even hooked to mine in about 10 years.

Thanks. It says part not available, but at least I have the part number now.

    6600 load monitor thrust block

I got the PTO clutch out of my 6600 and new parts ordered for it. This morning I was looking around and noticed that one of the load monitor thrust blocks is missing. If you have the FO-42 IT shop manual, it is number 12 in figure 431 on page 161. I was hoping someone had taken the bolt loose...

    Radiator repair

The radiator was leaking on my 6600 where both tanks joined the core when I bought it. The radiator shop said it would be about $150 to fix. Even if repaired, I would be dealing with 45 years of corrosion and metal fatigue in the old radiator. I decided to go ahead and spend another $100 and get...

    6600 PTO just stopped working

That's what it was. It looks like I need some new rings and a new control valve support.

    6600 PTO just stopped working

Found this fishing around in the oil with a magnet. Broken clutch pack sealing ring?

    6600 PTO just stopped working

Yes, I finally found it. Got the top off. Can't see anything obvious. Was hoping it was the oil supply tube, but it is still connected. Put it back together and tried adjusting the relief valve, but no luck.

    6600 PTO just stopped working

Oil level is good. I have drained transmission and some of the rear end oil. I am trying to get the top off the rear end now to see if I can find anything. I got all the bolts out, even the ones under the lift arm, but when I try to lift it with the hoist, something is hanging at the front. The...

    6600 PTO just stopped working

This morning decided to hook up the new 7' tiller to the "new" 6600 and till the garden and pea patch. After about 20 minutes the PTO suddenly slowed down like it was slipping for a few seconds and then quit working all together. How screwed am I?

    Ford 860 value?

Thanks. That is about what I was thinking. A few years ago they were selling for a good bit more, but with dealers now offering long term and sometimes interest free financing, prices have fallen on used tractors that size. I will get it running and start out asking 2500 or so and see what happens.

    Ford 860 value?

My dad has an old Ford 860 or 861, I don't remember which. He said he is thinking of selling it. The tractor ran good up until last fall. He went to start it one day and the battery was dead (again) because the key had been left on (again). He hooked the jumper cables to it backwards and let the...
