    TO20 Block repairs,,??

Another option is to get them brazed. My '52 TO30 had lower block cracks brazed long before I bought it 15 years ago. I found out when I pulled the oil pan when I first bought it. I've worked it hard ever since with no problems. There are cracks at the top end as well but as others noted its the...

OT - But coffee is what gets me going in morning

I just use a Mr. Coffee style paper filter in the basket. Either just punch a hole in it with the stem tube or you can cut a hole in it. I just punch the hole in the filter. Then form the paper filter to the wall of the basket. Be sure and use only one filter otherwise it might boil over...

    Winco Generator Fan

Excellent points. Unfortunately the 55101 fan is no longer available unless I get lucky enough to catch one on fleabay. The fan doesn't appear to be cast iron but it is steel that's for sure. I have had the same reservations about aluminum and plastic blades fracturing at 3600 RPM. The only...

    Winco Generator Fan

One fellow suggested going to the Winco site for the documents. I did that. One fellow suggested Grainger. I looked through Grainger and couldn't find anything that would work and that was reasonable priced. It was free so I don't really want to dump a ton in something that may crash due to...

    Winco Generator Fan

I was given an old Winco generator that needs a new fan. From the damage to the cover it looks like it tipped over causing the blades to bend and break off. Due to it's age the parts are apparently no longer available. The label is all but gone but it looks like in the model section it says...

    Z134 Block

For those fellows that might be interested, there is a individual in Delta, CO named Barry that has posted a Continental Z134 block on Western Slope Craigslist. I haven't taken a look at it since I don't need it, but it might be worth a look if you live in this part of the world and you could...

    New TO 20 owner

You should have a grease zerk on one side and an Allen screw directly opposite the zerk on the other side of the orc. Remove both. Use a punch and drive out the roll pin that holds the orc on. Be careful the punch isn?t so large that it messes up the threads, but not so small it goes inside...

Chicago Pneumatic IW 5104 Impact Wrench Seal

Thank you for the reply. That's the strange part. It has CP on the wrench housing like it should. It has a plate on the back that says Chicago Pneumatic, Air Wrench, IW5104, Serial Number 7056A006, Made in the United States, U.S. Patent NO. 3,174,597, CA. PATD. 1964. The IW 5104 is in the...

Chicago Pneumatic IW 5104 Impact Wrench Seal

Thanks for the reply but it's a Chicago Pneumatic not the Central Pneumatic that Harbor Freight sells. From what I read Harbor Freight created quite a confusion when they chose the Central Pneumatic name for their line of tools. You right about having to buy a new one if I can't find a generic...

Chicago Pneumatic IW 5104 Impact Wrench Seal

I have a Chicago Pneumatic impact wrench that I am rebuilding. I need a front seal for it, but can't find any parts diagram for it in order to get the part number. On the identification plate it says that it is a IW 5104. A seal for a CP 734 won't fit as it has a smaller outside diameter than...

    Diesel IH 574 Timing Pointer

I followed the directions, however, when it came to turning the hub with the bolts out there wasn't any movement except for the whole hub and pump drive gear turning as a unit. If I am thinking correctly the hub is an independent piece from the pump drive gear and shouldn't be affected by the...

    Diesel IH 574 Timing Pointer

Will do. I appreciate the help. Thank you.

    Diesel IH 574 Timing Pointer

I guess I am having a hard time figuring how this all goes together. I have the IH service manual and it is about as worthless as teats on a boar hog. Maybe I'll have a eureka moment during the night and it will become clear.

    Diesel IH 574 Timing Pointer

I tried the socket on the shaft nut too, but it turned the pump gear which then turned the crankshaft so it was no longer at 14 BTDC. Could it be that something is binding the hub to the pump gear?

    Diesel IH 574 Timing Pointer

I'll give that a try tomorrow. It did turn some so maybe it is 180 degrees out. I didn't loosen the cap bolts when I replaced the pump, but I did today to try to get the cam mark to line up. How hard is it to turn the hub to line up the cam mark? I tried by hand and had no luck in doing so. I...
