    Ok. I have seen that the pump is spitting gas through to the carb. Need to empty the carb to check for water. Need to check the spark but the spark plug was just replaced.

    Im not sure why. Ive been driving this thing around for a couple weeks. I got the fuel filter replaced, put gas cleaner into the tank, because I noticed it was starting to sputter when Id give it gas. Since then its been really hard to start or it wont start at all.     Yeah, so if the engine isnt turning that means no exhaust would be coming out. A little exhaust does come out so Im mistaken with how I have explained this problem. I think the engine is turning by as soon as I stop cranking the key it stops. The motor doesnt keep going.

    Just bought an AMT 600. Ive been having problems getting it started. The starter motor works great but it seems like the fly wheel isnt catching bc the engine isnt turning. I pull the choke out and floor it and it just never turns. The fuel filter has been changed and it used to start up...

    Would the key need to be cranked for this to work?

    What does this part do? Its in between the key for the ignition switch and the selenoid post. How do I test it. The selenoid wire goes through it. Is it activated by the crank of the key?

    Im not sure what the party is that I showed you in the picture. But it doesnt have any continuity from one end to the next. Im not sure how to test the function of this part but Ill go ahead and bypass it. Then test.

    Actually I just checked the started by plugging it in directly to the battery then shorting the selenoid. The starter gray popped out and spun just fine.

    Yeah I think I burned the contacts at the selenium because it made a quick kind of loud crank but then stopped and there was some smoke at the selenoid and the positive terminal. How do I check the starter selenoid?
