    DC compression

    Did a compression test on my DC and got 80#s on all cylinders. Is that low? Looked in manuals and could not find what it should be. Would like to get around 135#s. How much do I need to machine off head to achieve that kind of compression.

    Broken Bolts

    Broke off 2 out of 4 3/4-10 bolts that hold on the hitch when trying to take the hitch off. Friend said a person can burn em out with a cutting torch because the steel with melt before the cast iron. Has any one tried this method of burning broken bolts out? Gravity is at least on my side.

    What to call it and where to get one.

    I make a 1/2" socket that fits the ratchet out of 4140 ht steel that is nickle plated. Type (great dain crankshaft tool) on youtube for more info.

    Find and friend that is a machinist to come over and measure the rod journal with a micrometer.     cast iron hub

    Thanks for your help. Machined a socket that a 1/2" ratchet will fit in the (crank ratchet hub)for turning the motor for setting valve lash etc. Made of 4140 steel and nickle plated. Also a great starting socket for the pullers. Will post a picture if any interest.
