JD 435 round baler with 540 can it be converted to 1000?

What tractor do you have? If its begin enough some guys just buy an adapter and run the tractor around 1,100-1,2000 rpms. Done that before with a JD 5020 and a 348 square baler.

Between the 125 and 141. Only made for a couple of years.

The 123 might not have been a converted pull type but it used a lot of parts from the pull type combines. Engine and drivetrain came from the truck line.

    John Deere GM

Are GM's worth that much?? $1,800 is what I paid for mine too but all it needs is new tires.

    John Deere GM

I bought a 1946 GM last year. You sure its a GM? Thought they had moved back to the G in 1947. My GM has a PTO and is a flat back. But it has an aftermarket live hydraulic pump with 2 outlets which from a usability standpoint, is better then what JD offered at the time.

    My next problem

Hauled a JD 3300 with a 343 corn header and then a JD 55 with a 13ft header from MN to MT with a 3/4 pickup and 24ft goose neck trailer. No problems whatsoever.

It will do that will the original engine. Seen it happen.

    John Deere 3300

A 3300 with a 343 corn header will fit on a 24ft gooseneck trailer. I'd haul it if you have the trailer.

    Pros and cons 7720 T2 or 8820 T2

Your header choice is kind off confusing. You would have a tough time keeping an 8820 full with 6 row header unless you are in something like irrigated corn or going an insane speed. Yet a 30ft header on a 7720 would almost be too much if you have anything above an average crop. Do you need...

I've been told these are not the correct fenders for the tractor. If I can't get the tires moved out I might take the fenders off because they rub on the tires.

I paid sort of a high price for it. Not to many of these out in Montana. In fact I passed it off first when the owner told me about it mostly because they said it was a G. But I decided to at least look at it anyway and then noticed it was a GM. After researching GMs a little and the fact the...

Ya I might leave the hydraulics on because I think its a pretty neat and usefull setup. Did the G have live hydraulics from the factory? I think this tractor was setup for a sickle mower. Notice the PTO adapter on the back?

1946 GM. Hoping a carb clean and mag overhaul will get her running. Engine is loose. Previous owner bought it at auction, drove it home, and then parked. Needs new rims and tires on the back.
