    Replacing PTO Shaft seal

Mine also leaked. I took the easy way out and just sealed the PTO cover with lots of thread goop. Needless to say, I don't use the PTO anymore. Tom

Original Deluxe Seat on 1948 TO20?

I recently restored the Knodler seat on my Grandpa's TO20. The four bearings are F1232 are are commonly available. I got them from VXB.com for $5.77 each. Tom

    TO20 coil spring seat question

Thanks for the quick replies. That's exactly what I wanted to find out. Actually, Grandpa was a little on the short side. So maybe that's why he got this seat. I never realized how complex this seat was till I started taking things apart. That spring frame always had stuff hanging from it. It's...

    TO20 coil spring seat question

I'm just starting to work on my Grandpa's '49 TO20. It has this seat which I've never seen in any other pictures. Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it a custom part or perhaps something from another tractor? Honestly, it isn't very comfortable but I'll keep it if it is an original...

My 1947 Case SO restoration story

I have wanted to fix up my Grandpa's tractor and finally I had the time. I'm not a mechanic and this is my first undertaking. It had been sitting for 30 years and was a mess. It's hard to describe what all I went through for the year it took, but I scraped, brushed, and blasted through all the...

    Model S fuel tank attachment

OK, I'll get some felt. Chris, I didn't realize there was an on-line parts listing. That is really nice! Here are a few other pictures. I can't finish painting till Spring but otherwise it's getting close! Don't look too closely to the tires. They are mismatched! Haven't found any replacements...

    Model S fuel tank attachment

I'm putting this '47 Model S back together and am wondering what holds the gas tank in place. Specifically, I don't see what keeps the tank from slipping backward. I have the hood which bolts down over the top but am I missing any other pieces? There were some fabric pads under the tank when I...

    Inner tube valve stem adapter

My Case rear tire has these adapters on inner tube stem. I need a new one and can't seem to find them. I'm not even sure what it is called. Any ideas where I could get one. Thanks. Tom

Need 11x26 Tires for my Case model S

Thank's for the ideas. I didn't realize the size designation had changed. Any specific leads in the Sandusky, Ohio area would be appreciated. Here is what the tractor looks like now. Lots more to do, but I'm having fun!

Need 11x26 Tires for my Case model S

My 1948 Case Model S restoration is going good. Unfortunately, I need new tires and it seems like the original 11x26 tires are no longer made. Now what? Is there any place I can find a usable pair. The tractor currently has a mis-matched set with one being 12x26. I would really like to find a...

    TRACTOR SUPPLY PAINT

I'm getting ready to start my first paint job on a Case model S. I want to try the Valspar. Should I start with the Anti-Rust Armor Primer? Any idea how much I'll need, a quart or gallon? I plan to brush it on since I have no spraying facilities. Also, what color should the finish coat be...
