    I just cleaned out a 1953 cub tank . I found on here( Thanks guys ) where the use of Lye to clean one. I soaked mine twice and it got rib of the rush and varnish . Cheap fix too . I did once I had it clean , dry it and put in a gallon of wd 40 and shake it around to prevent it from flash...

    Radiator always had a leak on upper end , just kept it topped off with water , Never would put antifreeze in it because of my animals .I was having trouble with crap in gas tank getting into carb .     I just checked no water pump on her . So just replace the radiator and reuse the non pressure cap . Thanks guys . That cub to cut grass is like riding a caddy with the long wheel base ... Love that old girl ..

    so it will not hurt the system , to put a pressure type radiator on it Ill have to look and see if it has a water pump .

    MY vote is for the 140 with the one point hitch , one point equipment can be found . I love it ---I can change implements with just a hook ( Lift locking pawl on fast hitch) and never leave the tractor seat . Has more power then other models .     Cub-Carb kit

    Well , my HI dealer of 100 miles away , Napa did not have the right kit for the IH carb. So I went back to TS Co, They have improved the quality of their kit .I installed the kit and my old sweet heart is purring like a kitten ( Smile ). She has her power back ! I love that old tractor !!

    I have no idea how old mine is , but it was old - but still good metal --if I had to guess I would say 35- 40 years old -----cuts good !

    I bought a woods 59 last year for my cub , I paid $275.00 off ebay for it , It was local , I spent another 100 bucks one new blades and bearings . Important that you have ALL of the brackets to hook it up !! They can get very expensive from woods !

    Does anyone know the NAPA part number for a carb kit , 1953 cub . I picked one up today and the kit they gave me is NOT the right one . Learned the hard way the kits from TS -----junk !!!!

    farmall cub

    Check for intake leaks , easy to do . with tractor running , spray starting fluid around intake manifold . If you have a leak RPMs will speed up. WD40 will do the same thing . I would check for fuel flow .

    Cub the Caddy for cutting lots of grass . What I liek so much about mine . Is that after cutting my 3 acres I do not feel beat up. The long wheel base gives me a smooth ride ! I,ll take my cub any day over the 0 turns !!! Ride COMFORT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
