    found a super m diesel stage 2 with factory wide front been sitting 30 years they say it needs a head gasket it needs alot of work and money. worth any thing?

    400 engine block

    Had water in block from open exchust ,engine was stuck had to break piston out . Should i have block checked for cracks? Head has a crack also.

    Got engine unstuck took head to get checked out. Found out head is cracked. Think it might be better to find another tractor.

    Firecrater pistons for 400

    Whats a good rebuild kit for a farmall 400 ? Has 4 1/8 firecraters now that were stuck had to damage one to get unstuck. Would like to get firecraters. Any aftermarket companies that make them?

    Thanks for all the tips . Got it unstuck had to drlll out small part of the piston.
