    Back up genny set

Like others here I’ve used a 7kw portable to keep essentials going, but after the deracho we had 5 years ago that left us without power for 18 days, I had a 26kw whole house Kohler installed. Yes, auto transfer switch etc. We have a bunch of yuppie castles built in the corn fields here so we...

    Cordless impact wrench

Been using a HF Earthquake 20v impact for quite a while. I don’t make my living with it, but it hasn’t failed me yet. I have a couple Bauer, and some Hercules. No issues at all, but again, I don’t make my living with em, only repairs

    Literature--1970's GEHL Skid Steer Brochures

    Interesting. I had a 2500 during the 80s. I have a 4400 now.😁

What's your guy's opinion on electronic ignition

Man, I hear ya there, with respect to the skid steer. I have a 4400 Gehl with the Ford engine, still using points. So far, I’ve been able to get good points and condenser from NAPA. The distributor cap has two rubber seals so it‘s virtually impossible for water to enter, especially since I...

What's your guy's opinion on electronic ignition

While I’d generally agree that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, I also am a proponent of EI. I have the pertronics units on my 2510 and my 3020. Have been using them for several years. It is extremely important to use the proper coil and recommended plug wires, and plug gap settings. While it...

    Handyman Slogan

Well not really handyman related, but my father used to say “There comes a time in every project when you have to shoot the engineer and build something“. He would often say that to me a laugh…yeah, I am a mechanical engineer.

Looking for ideas on carb issue

No. I was commenting on removal of the solenoid actuated shut off on the load adjustment screw. Shutoff rpm is adjusted via a stop on linkage, as is low idle, hi idle, and wide open. Meaning that I’ve never had issues with dieseling as long as I throttle all the way down. Typically even if...

Looking for ideas on carb issue

I‘ve not regretted doing that with my 2510 or 3020.

Looking for ideas on carb issue

I’ve never had a problem in that regard with my 2510, non solenoid power screw. Just make sure that you pull out the throttle knob to bypass low idle 800 rpm and push it up into shutoff position lower idle 425 rpm.
