    can you get to it and grind a slot across the face. then try a screwdriver to turn out the broken part.

    the difference in torque factor won't be a factor. torque a bolt with socket. then put on crow foot and compare reading.

    Very possible that it jumped time. if tensioner went bad it good very well jump time. if chain got slack in it could have skipped a tooth or 3. only way to tell is check timing marks on engine.

    MY MH 50 will sometimes do that. when it does there is pressure in the tank. open up tank and it will start right up. Don't always do it just in spring time with winter gas in tank.     I second the fly cutter. if post drill press it should hold. just go easy and take a little at a time. and slowly sneak up on the size. about .005 to .010 at a time. it will be slow but should work.

    Get a cheap single barrel shotgun. Wipe it down with grease and hang on wall. Older singles will hold up good in that situation. Used one for years on trap line. Never rusted and always worked just fine. At that time they could be had for 30 to 50 bucks.

    get a piece of 3/4 square bar stock. shape it to fit possibly cheaper than extension. then it could be heated and bent in shape of hex wrench.
