Just a thought, My great uncle put in wells, and pumps for years, been gone for years, on the airmotor pumps I think I remember there was something about a plug being put in or removed if you went from shallow jet to deep jet, he's been gone for 25 years, check the instructions just for the heck... -

Depending on where you are they may not be able to legally do that, here if a handyman does "electrical work" and there is an injury, or fire, you are toast, if it's electrical work you have to be licensed, doesn't matter if it's a ballast or a service, handymen may be able to make it work, but... -

Sounds like a good deal, our company charges far more than that per hour, they got a call, sent an electrician over that had an apprentice with him most likely going to another job, they found the problem, got the parts, and fixed the problem, I used to carry ballasts on the truck, but no more... -

Chevy compass won't calibrate
Glad to see I'm not the only one with this problem, have a new work jobbing van, same problem, never knew their was a compass, and when I found it, it's off by 180 degrees, nothing I have tried has made it better. Funny, my personal car, (Ford) has never had a problem with the compass. Good...- Hanky

What could this be for?
Don?t laugh, but I think it may have fell off a dairy truck, we have a huge dairy here with hundreds of hooks like that, they hook the bottom crate and drag the stack of milk crates around, it?s in St. Paul, see tankers come in from far away, furthest was Idaho. -

Surge protecter question.
Personally after being a sparky for almost 30 years I would cut that wire off that ground rod, ?driven electrodes? are almost worthless, and if you ever have an issue (lightning strike) you will have a major difference of potential between that and your existing grounding electrode system...- Hanky
