TY - I will contemplate starting a new post on my purchase! What was of interest to me is the techie thinking on modifying a Mahindra loader brackets and hydraulics so neatly. My old Massey had a Case loader modified and I made sure no one thought I had done it! Messy! It is off to the Auction soon.- HankZ

Yes, the rear mounting of the Mahindra FEL seemed to match up just fine, the front mount required a 5 inch (aprox) butt weld addition to match up and reach the Deere front mounting point. MF 165 AG4.212 engine
Have wound up with a Massey 165 with a AG4.212 gas engine! From the S/N a 1973. It appears this engine was a late arrival to the MF165 and reading around a bit, parts can be at a premium, if they can be found. The engine is solid and runs like a champ. Massey 165, 4 cylinder Perkins gas, Bendix Carb
I wound up, for the right price purchasing a MF 165, that is not a G176 but a Perkins 4 cyl gas model. The engine is great, the rest of the tractor needs some TLC.
