    Identifying linkage on 460

I think some fast hitch installations did not come with teladepth valves.

IH Fast Hitch Top Link Part #

IH did make a fast hitch to 3pt adapter which has the top link on the frame work. It has the fast hitch prongs with a "wishbone" connecting the prongs. The wishbone has weldments for a very short top link. The 3 pt brackets are width adjustable with bolts and shims. I can try to get a picture...

    450D battery

Our 450D had positive ground. I remember hooking up the radio and there was a switch on the back to set it for positive ground tractors. I still have that radio.

    fast hitch question?

I have one of the original IH fast hitch to 3 pt conversion. You can get certain widths by changing the 3 pt "hooks" with the the frame and a shim with 2 bolts per side. Not very fast for changing from one implement width to another. I did buy a Cat 1 Quick Hitch but is limited to Cat I width...

What is this part and how does it work?

Dad had one on the Ferguson and it was our emergency vacuum pump for milking cows. I saw another on an Oliver 70 that they used for vacuum brakes on a trailer they used to haul a Cletrac.

Cyclo 400 Planter Seed Flow Monitors

I have an old Cyclo 400 6 row planter and a Seed Flow monitor. What I have discovered is the male connector on the planter has 10 pins and the monitor"s connector has 12 pins. The farmer I bought it from apparently used it this way?? I cannot get it to detect the seeds going through the tubes. I...

    O/T Barn Question

I have two corncribs both without concrete floors. Doors are on north and southsides. The old corncrib built in 1916 has issues with ground heaving, concrete settling and poor drainage. The settling seems to have slowed down and have alleviated the drainage issues but still have problems with...

    234 mounted picker

The 234 was primarily sold as with the husking unit and the sheller units were sold with many of the pickers. I helped a neighbor that owned a 234 mounted on a 706 and they had both the husking and the shelling units before they bought a self propelled combine.

    fast hitch implements

I purchased a fasthitch manual for the 460/560. It shows where all the pins are located, and for some of the implements that were available at the time the manual was printed. Most of the fasthitch implements that I have manuals for indicate how to set up the fasthitch as to which pins to use.

    IH implement blue paint

The original was a fairly dark blue, but not navy blue. I have seen machinery left out and the blue faded over time. The newer cultivators in the 1960's were black where the older ones had the blue paint. As to which cultivators they changed from blue to black paint I'm not sure. Dad's #455...

    560 fast hitch

The fast hitch control valve unit down in front of your feet has a permanent cover over the where the selector valve (if there is one) where you change from one-way to two-way hydraulics. I get a little time I might remove that cover and see what's back there.

    560 fast hitch

I do have all the pins in for non float incuding the one at the bottom of the cylinder. The hydraulics for the remote cylinders seem okay.

    560 fast hitch

My 1962 560 has fast hitch with teledepth and traction control, but I can't raise the rear wheels off the ground, so doesn't operate like normal two-way cylinder. Thank you for any info on this.

WANTED: beltpulley gearbox/drive for MTA 450

When Dad traded his MD with the belt pulley unit for a new 400 with the large tank he had the belt pulley unit installed on the 400. My uncle had the belt pulley from his MD installed on his new 450 and later on a new 560, which I now own.
