metal drill bits

I only use Dormer (split point) cobalt drill bits. They cut better and last a lot longer than high speed steel bits

why am I fat?

I always heard if you break them in smaller pieces the calories will leak out of them and will not add on the pounds.lol. Merry Christmas to all.

USED OIL

I give the used oil to a freind for his oil burner and I burn the filters in my coal heater in shop then sell burned out filters for scrap.

O/T Ford trucks

I have a 2004 F250 with a V-10. I get an average of 10 - 11 mpg (depends on foot pressure).I get same mileage whether loaded or empty.I tow a gooseneck trailer once in awhile and I like the power it has. Only thing I don't like is manifold bolts are snapping off, 56,000mi, and Ford wants about...

Geo-thermal input

I've had mine for about 10yrs, not had any problems with it at all. Best investment I probably made in my house. If I was to build another house I would put in geo-thermal a heat pump.

Rotary Phase Converters

I have used a 30hp rotary phase converter in my machine shop for the last 8 years with no problems so far. I run a cnc vertical mill(15hp), a bridgeport(2hp),surface grinder(1.5hp), a small lathe. I can use the two mills at the same time. If I had to do it all over again I might go with a...

OT: Any one own their own machine shop here?

I have my own shop (SW PA). My rate is $40.00/hr.I work alone in my shop, but there is five of us who work together (they each are owner operators like me). This system has worked out well for us over the last 10-12 years. But our work load is down about 60% of last year. D

B pistons

Does any one know the length of 4.5 std pistons compared to 4.25 (from top to pin)? Could you please tell me if these are too long to put in my unstyled B in place of the 4.25 pistons? Will this work or am I messing up big time??? I want to bore cyl. out to 4.5 because I can't seem to find 4.25...
