Question about price or "Did I get beat?"

And by the way, it is MUCH more sturdy than a CountryLine plow (just judging from the beefier materials used). Used plows I have seen in my area have been rusted till they were falling apart.

Question about price or "Did I get beat?"

The share is new and the mouldboard is in good shape. It cuts through the sandy soil where I live like butter. It digs a 6 or 7 inch ditch and throws up a really good furrow. I have put in a 200 yard ditch with it in a few minutes (about as fast as I could walk, it was as fast as I would try...

Question about price or "Did I get beat?"

I had wanted a plow for some time and had been on the lookout at Craigslist and my state's market bulletin. I found this plow nearby and liked it, so I bought it I paid $425. Did I get a good deal?

    2N No Spark

Did the test light, it blnked. Ordered a new coil, it came today. Changed the coil and got a good hot spark. Opened the gas valve and it started right up.

    2N No Spark

I checked the switch for continuity when I was looking for loose connections. It has a round can coil and it should have a spark at the wire when the engine turns over.

    2N No Spark

I have a 2N with 6 volt positive ground, distributor on the front, Pertronix EI. The other day it suddenly shut off. First I checked for obvious loose connections. Then I took the battery out, charged it and put it back, just to make sure it was hot. Tested for spark at a plug with a Thexton...

    Acre size?

    First let me lay out the units: 1 chain = 66 feet 1 furlong = 10 chains = 660 feet 1 acre = 1 furlong long X 1 chain wide = 660 feet X 66 feet = 43,560 square feet. ... or it was when I studied surveying.

    Long Starter Bolts

Hey, no problem...I would have found the answer myself if I had been less lazy and looked more thoroughly before I started a new thread. And 1/4-20 is not too far from 5/16-18, that's not bad from memory. Me, I depend on references. I have no memory to speak of due to a traumatic brain injury...

    Long Starter Bolts

Found another starter thread: http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=nboard&th=415265 It has a part number: "Get the real bolt, p/n 18-11091-B, bolt, starter, 5/16-18 X 7.18" Thanks.

    Long Starter Bolts

I want to replace the long starter bolts on my 2N. Would anyone happen to know the specs (length, diameter, pitch, preferred grade) of the bolts?
