    Ford 1300- injector lines needed

I remember. The line is full of fuel, and the top of the engine is very dirty, oily, dusty- all kinds of flammables. Heat won't be our first option. Thanks to used red, I've located a couple sets of used lines.

    Ford 1300- injector lines needed

That's not a good idea on a line and head of the injector, which has diesel fuel in it.

    Ford 1300- injector lines needed

I'm working on a 1300 for a friend. The back injector is loose, and I can't get the line off. It is twisting with the nut. It's soaking now with penetrating oil, but I would like a plan B if it doesn't want to release. If anyone knows of some salvage ones somewhere (I'd buy both), or even a...

    Bought a backhoe!

I thought it was a 310A, but it's a 310 (71-75, haven't figured what year yet). Overall, it's in good shape. There are a few leaks, but they can be resolved. It came with a parts book, which is a golden resource, as well as the operators manual. There are service records dating back to October...

    Bought a backhoe!

My dad and I went in half and half on a 78 310A. 3300 hours, weathered and worn but still running good. The previous owner put all new hoses on it, none of the cylinders leak, and the brakes work good- we're off to a good start.

    John Deere 310A

Buying a 78 backhoe, and my father will be using it some. I would like to find a decal for the shift pattern- anybody know of a source? I've found a photo of the decal, but I haven't located a source. It would be helpful for him. He'll never remember the pattern. [/img] This post was edited...

Its getting bad here in nj and pa

Southern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia- we had a dry Winter, and we've gotten very little rain this Spring. It's made mowing easier, but that's about it. As my mom always says, it's drier than a popcorn fart.

    King Kutter finish mower question

It's normal. A finish mower is moved by the tractor but it follows the ground. Therefore, the top link must be flexible enough for it to articulate front to back and follow the terrain. My Woods finish mower has a fixed frame, but the top link mount pivots, accomplishing the same thing.

    Ford 1300 3 point won't lift

I spent some more time this afternoon, on the 1300. The 3 point is working well, so I instructed Johnny to work it whenever he's running the tractor. Now that the unload valve is unstuck, exercising it should help it from sticking again. To replace the ring on the lift piston, we had removed...

    Ford 1300 3 point won't lift

Johnny just called- the 3 point is now working. That confirms, unless I'm off base, that the issue is a sticking unload valve. He's going to keep working it, and if/when it stops again, we'll pull it apart.

That's the power of forums like this. Benefiting from the benevolent sharing of lessons learned and wisdom gained, and (hopefully) being able to contribute back. It's an extremely valuable resource. It's also a great way to fellowship and build friendships with people that you'd otherwise never...

    Ford 1300 3 point won't lift

No, but after 44 years, we should still pull the screen and clean it. Thanks for the heads up. I've located a PDF shop manual for the tractor, from a moderator on Orangetractortalks. The unload valve is interior of the case.
