Bought a backhoe!

My dad and I went in half and half on a 78 310A. 3300 hours, weathered and worn but still running good. The previous owner put all new hoses on it, none of the cylinders leak, and the brakes work good- we're off to a good start.

I thought it was a 310A, but it's a 310 (71-75, haven't figured what year yet). Overall, it's in good shape. There are a few leaks, but they can be resolved. It came with a parts book, which is a golden resource, as well as the operators manual. There are service records dating back to October 2000, and it was maintained by the local Deere dealership.
At 14,300 pounds, it doesn't want to pull itself down the road in 7th or 8th gear. Now I know why- the 310 is only 52 hp. Otherwise, it runs and drives well, and it has great brakes.
