    Thanks for that .just spoke to a other knowledgable person that thought the same .power shift isnt a big deal if repowering one ?they have a conventional flywheel and clutch ?or torque convertor type arrangement ?I totally new to them

    Looks to me like the pto has a diaphragm type pressure and the gearbox a spring type.I was trying to work out how to disgard the diaphragm .make a sandwich plate , and utilise the one pressure plate.its just all there from factory.just needs fine tuning .and a 9" & 11" friction plates must be good

    I have a 178 fergy with a 671 jimmy in her .my question for the group is , has anyone converted both clutch plates to drive ?ie weld the gearbox drive and pto shafts together , loose the pto gear , then sort the pressure plate release to drive ?
