    John Deere M thermostat

    I think the shutters he sells go for around $300 or so for the M series. I have no idea about a t-stat though it sounds good on paper. I don't know how you would get one to work right in the thermosyphon system. Maybe someone else can chime in.

    The 6000 in our area are all out of our price range for what the local dealers have used and I haven't seen any used 5000 series that were not all beat up. We don't have many choices for dealers in our area though.

    I know I can do the snow plow blade from the one on my MT. I have need that around alone fine in the shop a bunch. I did get a friend to help but he owns all red tractors do he may just stand and watch anyways!

    Best advice is to buy the owners manual. Many places sell them and it had all the correct info on how to adjust the brakes. A brake job isn't too hard, but try adjusting them first. They also can get a glaze on the discs and metal components that you can remove by sandBlasting or scuffing.

    There was a non-running MT with a loader, no good tires, wheel weights, and good sheet metal for sale by me last year. They wanted $1,500 and wouldn't take a penny less. Weights is probably over 3,000 lbs. with a loader on it. How's the sheet metal on it?
