    ok well ..start at plugs,if its not then then check and see if you can see spark at the points, then if no spark there then check and see if you have power to your coil then check if you have juice on both sides of switch when switch is on.. proccess of elimination.. ih1566

    the battery on the "passenger side the - should be grounded to tractor, the positive post from the passenger side should run over to the negative on the "drivers side battery, and then your positive on the drivers side goes to the starter

    if i were you id invest in an electronic ignition from petronix! but if they arent in your price range then points will do ya fine, there around 100 dollors or so. cant remember what i paid for my last one but they are money well spent, you dont have to worry about filing points or changing...

    Help needed on IH 1066

    ive replaced alot of Torques in 1066's but never replaced a hydro in a tractor before, maybe you could possibly find someone who has a 1066 hydro or a hydro 100 in your area and look at the lines on those tractors to find where yours go.

    yeah when he meant major overhaul i wasnt buying it because it seamed like the front covor and put etc. hadnt been off, figureing he just gave it a ring job. some people are pretty shaddy trying to make things seem better then they really are, thanks for the input! weve almost got the 466 all...

    i put one on my stock M, idk if it made much of a differnce but i dynoed it with stock manifold and got 47 horse, put the lp manifold on the same day and didnt change anything else and got 50 horse. only problem i had with it so far is it froze up the throttle linkage once after just running...
