    Oliver 880 governor

    Steering on 2500 Forklift

    Got a 1974 ?? MF 2500 tractor type forklift,when cold,it will steer alright in either direction.After I use it a while the right wheel has little steering,while the left works good. Pump good,plenty of PS fluid. Sometimes,I'll "jerk" the steering wheel,and it seems to make it steer ,right...

    Unidentified Heavy Duty Wagon/Trailer

    The other day we were driving down the highway and on the side of the road was a trailer that said FERGUSON on it. It was boxy and looked old. By boxy I mean perfectly square. It was like a cube on wheels with the top cut off. I hope I gave enough info for someone to identify.

    Gas or Diesel?

    Diesel. -Less Carbon Monoxide. -Better fuel economy and power. -I think you can do a lot more with a diesel engine, also more versatile. But.... There are many variables, and you would need a perfect setup to see which one is better.

    What happens to the rest of the tractor that the salvage company can't sell, is it scrapped? Would people buy a rolling chassis?

    Only 2,070 W-400's were produced, the IH Data Book combines both Gas and Diesel, so I don't know how many gassers were made.

    How many people have one or more of the -9 series tractors in service or know someone who does? I don't think I can find this information anywhere else.

    How many Farmalls were produced with the Electrall option? Where they only available on the 400/450 series?

    The -4 Series are not my Forte, but I can tell you that they were geared different. There were more W-4's produced than I-4's. One unique difference, although this was an option, was the heavy-duty front axel. Some I-4's lacked the PTO and/or the belt pully.
