    806 brakes

The bottom end was all fine, bolts in, tight, etc. The top end under the aluminum cover one of the screws was loose. By the way how much does a guy tighten those? they compress a spring, I don't know how much pressure they need.

    806 brakes

A few seconds after i shut the motor off it releases. The screw on the end of the plunger in the valve body had backed out part way! Guess I'll put new orings in it while I have it apart. New orings at NEKS hydraulics will cost me two dollars, or less! Thanks to all for the help!

    806 brakes

I haven't worked on the valve body under the platform. I'm thinking it's the culprit. I jacked it up and checked. The brakes free when I put it all back together before I started it.

    806 brakes

I put all new orings and brake shaft seal in both sides and bled the air out. The left side is basically locked up, tractor will move but bogs down. The left petal won't come against the platform the right one does tho?

    Fast hitch cylinder seal kit

The most economical way to do it is tear it apart take the seals and o-rings to a hydraulic repair shop and buy what you need. I looked at kits, seems like it was around $60+, hydraulic shop was less than $10 for exactly what I needed.

I saw a post from 3 years ago from.. mccormicksw4... indicating he had several w4s and many parts. I'm wondering if he still has them and where he's located?

I'm looking for a w4 winter project. There's one not far away, missing some parts unique to a w4. Drive line and motor parts (farmall H)are plentiful here (KS), but way fewer w4's. Wish I was closer to ya rustred, I'd like to come visit, see your tractors and the Canadian coutryside!

450 ignition points removal and replacement

If you do replace points.i find its much easier to turn the motor to top dead center compression stroke and pull the distributor out replace points, condenser etc then put the distributor back in and readjust the timing.

    Perplexing problem

I have an IHC 400 i resurrected from the dead. It ran great for, maybe 25hrs, raking hay, started hard once then sputtered and ran backwards a revolution (ish) and wouldn't start again, no spark, replaced the capacitor (was new when resurrected), ran it an hour or so running great. Sat...

    Perplexing problem

Well took the distributor out, not only is there too much play on the rotor end, the drive end appears to be bent. Drive gear wobbles when you turn it and it's not loose! Thanks for everyone's input!
