    I'm in the St. Louis area. Several have started, some doing the whole field, some just opens the field and stopping. only report I've heard for bushel per acre in my area is 27. This is just one field.

    How to run a tractor show

    Around our area, 1970 or older, but you can show what ever you bring regardless of age. Don't charge the people showing the tractors. Peolpe's choice by simple ballet. Talk to local businesses to sponsor trophies. You can charge an admission fee for spectators.

    In World war 2 the first thing the allies did was to take away Germany's oil. They eventualy ran out of gas. With keeping ours in reserve this will be hard to do.

    Prepaid my propane today for 2+ years of propane at $1.37 a gallon. Unlimited time to use. I own my tank, so if the price goes below $1.37 I can get it some where else for cheaper price

    O/T GPS Units.............

    have 2 Garmin. 160 & 1450. Both work very well for me. Only problem I have is with the 160. I can only use it in my car, it won't work in the truck or wife's car.

    Gundlach Drill

    Dad had one. It was consider a very good drill. Rode many an acre sitting on top of the seed box. Trash would collect in front of the grain shoes and would have to pull on the chain to clear it. I grew up about 20 miles south of Swansea and we pronounced it Gundlock. Not critizing just note...

    Good show! Heard there were over 1400 tractors there. At least thirty 1206's. One good thing about the Du Quoin fair grounds is there is a lot of shade, you weren't out in the sun all day. Took us about 5 hours to walk thru and look at all the tractors. Glad I went

    Old, I use a smoke- gas bomb that I get from the local farm-home store. Lite it and throwit down the hole and close hole watch which of the othe holes the smoke comes out and clse them. As for as eating fried ground hog, it needs to be a young one, good eating. The old ones are tough and strong...
