    Great time at the Prairie Homestead Show at Belmond Ia.

    JD would of liked to have met you at the show, but we went to the state fair instead. Great fair weather too! We have gone to that show for years as we only live 15 miles away. They do keep adding more to it every year, so maybe next year we can meet up.

    What is going on?

    My Dad told me that Grandpa carried his 12 gauge double barrel shot gun on his 15-30 during the fall so he could shoot pheasants. It worked really well until one time it fell off the tractor and he ran over it with the disk. The gun still bares the gouges and the patch to the stock.

    Right now winter sounds pretty nice as it is 90 degrees and with the heat index feels like 103. So we see the extremes in temperatures, but we still choose to live here. There is no place like home, here in Iowa! Iowa TJ
