Birthday cake

Thanks to everyone that responded to my Birthday post yesterday.

It looks like one of those Carvel ice cream cakes. Very popular back then. Can remember the owner James Carvel do the advertising on the radio and TV . FUDGEY the whale and other things.

It was a clown coming out of a drum. The cake was done by our neighbor Flossie Pletcher. She was well known for her cakes and she also was a stop on the Schwann's ice cream man's route. So you could could get your cake and ice cream at their house. She baby sat me once and I ate so much cake icing that I got sick, too much of a good thing!

Just remembered it was Clownie the clown. Any how...can remember doing something like that around 10 years old. Had fun eating but when you are barfing it back up and it is running out of your nose.....not so much.
