    Timing on 1941 9N

Is the timing plate OEM or a replacement? I've timed distributors before, most recently one of them had a replacement plate. This problem sounds familiar. I had to set the points, try to time it, reset the points with timing plate moved in one direction or another and final was able to set the...

    Tim PloughNman Daley

Hello Tim, it nice to see your back posting again. I have the steel hood 39 #2387. from what I can tell I seem to have most of the proper/correct items. I am still stuck on getting the two-post small generator and a regulator to work, the gen may need a rebuild. I am looking for an original...

    Its Alive II

Congrast. I know the feeling, my wife's 46 sat for 30+ years in a field. At the time I didn't know the proper setting for the throttle, it went from a long slumber to a full rip... It scared me! Needless to say, it's run great ever since. I am happy for you, keep it alive.

    Curious about my 1939 9N

Kirk, it's looking good, will it be ready for the show? I am going to be away that weekend. Let's talk manifolds instead. I picked up a long throat manifold and recently fitted it to the engine. The exhaust side fits high and tight to the top of the block and cylinder head, how about yours...

Who Is The Goto Guy For Carb Rebuilds These Days??

Agreed, there are some good videos on YouTube. One I watched was from Dan Gingell & Rachael Gingell, who post many step by step how to instructions. One of them is for the Marvel Schedler cards. I have rebuilt two so far, once soaked and cleaned they are fairly simple. One problem I ran...

    Helical Gear Identification Number

Both of my 9N's, my 2N and the spare transmission have straight cut gears. I would like to install the Sherman Combo in the 39, it's split at the moment. Although I've never had one of these transmissions apart before, it looks fairly simple.(?) If you have the gear/s please let me know, thank...

    Helical Gear Identification Number

My definition maybe incorrect, sprue or straight cut gear. (?) In order to install the auxiliary transmission I need to change mating gear in the 9n transmission from a straight cut to a helical gear. Help identifying one would be much appreciated.

    Helical Gear Identification Number

I have a Sherman auxiliary transmission for my N9 and the tractors transmission has never been fitted with an auxiliary trans. Could someone provide a part number for the helical gear that is needed to replace the sprue in the tractor's transmission? Thank you. Adam.

    Re: 1941 9n correct decals

Thank you Kirk, I hope all is well. After much, much time spent, I found a website called The Decal Store... They sell the oil/air cleaner decals separately. I will let you know how the quality is once they arrive.

    1941 9n correct decals

Hello, I know this is an older post and Tim may not be able to respond. Tim posted a pic of the Donalson air cleaner decal, any chance someone may know where to find them. I searched through the FM decals and haven't found those ones. Thank you. Adam.

    Reel mowing

Wow, that's a lot but will be worth it when it's finished. I purchased the aluminum grill for the steel hood 39, it wasn't cheap, but quality is impeccable...

He still had because I didn't get my lazy 4$$ over there. All In all, I am glad you got the hood, did it have the dog legs and battery cover?
