Helical Gear Identification Number

I have a Sherman auxiliary transmission for my N9 and the tractors transmission has never been fitted with an auxiliary trans. Could someone provide a part number for the helical gear that is needed to replace the sprue in the tractor's transmission? Thank you.

Adam.

(quoted from post at 12:02:01 08/13/23) What is a sprue by you definition? Or I think the wrong word got dumped in
there by AI. A sprue is a term used in the casting
process and also plastic molding.
Sprue info

My definition maybe incorrect, sprue or straight cut gear. (?) In order to install the auxiliary transmission I need to change mating gear in the 9n transmission from a straight cut to a helical gear. Help identifying one would be much appreciated.

It's spur not sprue gear. According to John Smith the helical gear is 2N7113.

Hi Adam,
I believe it was John Smith that said only the early 6 months of production 1939's used the straight cut gear.
Mid year it went to heli cut.
Is your machine the first 6 months of production with the 4 spoke steering wheel? Double ribbed fenders?
Smooth rear axle hubs? Aluminum hood?
If your N9 is missing those and you haven't looked at it, you might not need it.
have you looked at it?

2N7113-A is correct. Pull your tranny fill plug and shine a light in towards the front wall of case to see if your input shaft gear is straight cut or helical cut. If straight cut a double split will be
required and top and bottom cluster removal for gear installation. I probably have the gear if you need it.

Both of my 9N's, my 2N and the spare transmission have straight cut gears. I would like to install the Sherman Combo in the 39, it's split at the moment. Although I've never had one of these transmissions apart before, it looks fairly simple.(?) If you have the gear/s please let me know, thank you Kirk.

Adam.
