Nope. The only lift is in the back.

    230 Hydraulics

Ok cool I will try that. Also, the first box, where you told me to swap the plug out with. I have that running to the top of the cylinder, which would force it down. Do I need that going to the bottom of the cylinder so it pushes it up, then the top of the cylinder into the check valve box? The...

    230 Hydraulics

So I have pretty much replaced the old cylinder and lines up to where the float valve or whatever it is called and I still am not getting any response from the system. I have included a picture to show you what I am asking about. Do I have the hydraulic lines reversed? The pump worked fine...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic system question.

How do I do that with the compressed air? Also I looked for that on the pump you said and it's a no go. It's got four mount bolts and two bolts to hold the two lines on. I'm game to try the air thing. Do I need the tractor running and the lever engaged when I do it? Thank you so much for the...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic system question.

I have no idea how to check those.I got manuals but nothing that explains it to a newbie like me. I drained the fluid, filled it with the HyTran compatible fluid. Left the fill cap off to bleed it and there is no fluid movement at all. No bogging down of engine or anything. It's not leaking into...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic system question.

Well I guess my pump is shot. Used to it would engage and the engine would compensate and it make a noise now it's nothing. No fluid movement at all. It's a Cessna pump. I'm pretty much screwed on rebuild kits unless it's under a new brand. Any ideas or advice besides ponyimg up 420 for a...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic system question.

I have been looking at my hookups for my hydraulic cylinder and I have some questions. I have replaced the hoses in the exact same place as the owner before me had the hoses. I've been looking through a manual and online and I have not seen a check valve like mine. It is two boxes, one hose is...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic cylinder removal.

I don't have the exact name of the part. But to get as close to what would work I went and bought a 3 X 10 hydraulic cylinder from Tractor Supply. The piston end has a removable attachment end on it. I just took it off and ordered what I found on eBay as "1 1/4 or 1.25 inch female connecting rod...

    Farmall 230 hydraulic cylinder removal.

Ok cool. I ordered a punch set. Maybe that will let me finally get it off. I'm having a hard time finding the type of mount that the new cylinder needs at the top. I've attached the picture of the new cylinder. The bottom will mount fine because it is the same style. But the top, the one that...

    With pic

Well nevermind. Can't upload a pic. Anyway I was able to tap the bottom pin out. The top won't budge and it looks completely different. Has a hole in the middle facing me that I can slide a screwdriver in and then on the left the pin gets smaller. It's hard to explain.

    Farmall 230 hydraulic cylinder removal.

I am trying my darndest to remove the top mount of the mydraulic cylinder from the lift system but I can't figure this out. How can I get the pin out to take this off? I've included a picture. Also, I got a cylinder from Tractor Supply and the mounts on both ends are the fork kind. On this one...
