    John Deere 1010 Crawler Diesel

Pinball - Its on the coast of Washington state in the pacific northwest, so you have a little bit of a drive. Buickanddeere - My pockets aren't super deep, that is why I was hoping to find something cheap like this that I could get going and keep going. Like I said. It will not be for like...

    John Deere 1010 Crawler Diesel

Thanks everyone for their point of view and the advice! I do understand that iron can be expensive. We would be using if for small jobs around the property. Probably would see 50 hours a year MAYBE. So the engine problems that all the other forums rant about have more to do with the 1010...

    John Deere 1010 Crawler Diesel

So I have been reading a lot of posts and forums on the JD 1010, and it seems to get some mixed reviews. Those that have them, and they run seem to love them. Those who have them and they don't run, seem to HATE them. I have an opportunity to purchase one from a local auto salvage yard that...

    INJECTION PUMP PROBLEM

Diesel Tech - I thought about doing that very thing! But like I said, as soon as I got back on the tractor and started mowing again, somithing went in the tranny, and now I am in the process of taking that apart, so I think all my good luck went down the drain. Jim from Cal - That is a...

    INJECTION PUMP PROBLEM

Thanks for the reply everyone. I have had a long day. I did get it fixed. I talked to a gentleman today from an injection pump shop that talked me through how to take the pump partially apart over the phone. Ended up being that a check valve had come apart and the ball was under the governor...

    INJECTION PUMP PROBLEM

So here I am again guys with another problem. I know I am probably just working through them with this old 1958 Case 801B tractor, but its starting to become a major headache. So I noticed that while I was mowing yesterday, (first time I have used the tractor since I bought it a year ago and...

    Which parts manual to order

I don't mean to bother you with dumb questions, but how can I contact them, or search the site for their profile. I know there is a way, and I looked around, but I'm not seeing how to do that.

    Which parts manual to order

Awesome. Thanks Case Nutty. You seem to be the pro here. Any idea where I might be able to find some guages and a working insturment cluster that is era correct? Or where I can get the ones I have fixed and re-worked?

    Which parts manual to order

I have a 1959 Case 801B. I am trying to get a parts manual for it, but the only manual I can find is for a 800B. I know the 801B is a variant of the 800B, so would the parts manual be relevent? Any input would be great. Also, does anyone know where I could find a working insturment cluster...

    Help on 1958 Case 801B

So I ended up digging up some info finally on another old thread from a different website. Thought I would post it for anyone else who may need the info. The first stage filter is a washable screen to catch the biggest stuff. The second stage is a WIX 33511, or a NAPA 3511.

    Help on 1958 Case 801B

So I took the old girl apart, time has gone by, and stuff has gotten moved by different people, and the computer I had all the disassembly pictures on got infected by a virus and was not saveable. Anyone out there that has a 801B, or similar tractor since I know case put most of them together...

    Caseomatic oil question

I just went through this on a thread i started asking the same question about 2 months ago. After tons of input and lots of research, I decided to go with the CASE TCH fluid. I have a 1959 Case 801B. Yes, a 5 gallon buck of TCH set me back $100, but the non case stuff was still like $50, and...

    1958 801B Case-o-matic fuid

So I called up to the Case dealer today to make sure they had the TCH fluid in stock. The guy I talked to said they did, and I don't know if he was just trying to be nice and save me a buck, or what, but he was almost insisting I didn't need to spend the $95 for a five gallon bucket of the...
